General Moderation Information:

This section provides an overview of standard moderation procedures and expectations. Moderators are responsible for enforcing rules consistently, using available tools appropriately, and understanding the scope of their actions across both Discord and in-game environments.

📝 Reviewing Player Reports

When handling reports (from Discord or in-game):

1. Open the report as submitted by the user.

2. Verify authenticity:

   • Does the avatar/username match the accused user?

   • Is the evidence clear, readable, and unedited?

   • Confirm that the context is valid and not misleading.

3. Evaluate the offense:

   • If the offense is clearly bannable or the user has two prior warnings, proceed with a ban.

Check warning history using:
/warnings <user_id>

4. Take appropriate action:

   • Issue a ban if needed.

   • If not bannable, consider issuing a warning or closing the case with no action.

⚠️ Bias Reports

Reports submitted by members of rival factions require extra scrutiny: 

• Assume potential bias: Many such reports may be emotionally charged, exaggerated, or deliberately misleading.

• Carefully inspect all evidence and context before making any decisions.

• Avoid taking action based solely on the word of one party — always verify independently.

📁 Logging Requirements

To maintain logs to look back to, follow these logging procedures:

• ✅ Log all in-game bans & verbal warnings in: #manual-logs

• ✅ Log all blacklists in: #blacklists
