If you're here, you're looking to roll some dice without having your DM present. Maybe you want to earn some money, craft a weapon, or organize some workers for your big construction project. In any case, you're going to need to make sure those dice rolls are officially recorded (and to make sure that you haven't just been rerolling until you get that sweet, sweet 20).
Now I could go ahead and code a big extensive application that would let us get the result of these rolls together and noted on a log, or... well, someone else could have done it. Also, I have very weak coding skills, so in all honesty, we are better served by the sweat of someone else's brow. So here's a shout-out to PBE Games, fine purveyors of numerous RPG gizmos and doodads to better serve your games.
We're going to be using their Dice Roller, a relatively simple tool that will explain nonetheless. With pictures!
This is what you will see when you use the link. It shouldn't be too complicated to figure out. Let's go through this process step by step.
At the top, put in your email address. Beneath it, type in the email of the person you are sending this roll to (presumably me). As someone on the receiving end of this roll, I would like you to include a "Summary of Rolls" so that I know what they're for. for example, your summary may be "For Crafting."
In the games that we are currently playing, we have no need for "Signature Only," so I would disregard that unless told otherwise. It will send an email without showing the result of the roll. Finally, the results should be sent to Email or Both. I can't exactly rule on a roll if it doesn't get emailed to me.
And of course, the dice rolls themselves.
So there it is. The Dice Roller in all it's glory. Just make sure that you send me the email and I'll respond what the results of your rolls (give me some time, as I am a very busy Dungeon Master). Also, contact me for my email if you don't have it.
Happy rolling!
