The King's Feast is a collaborative project developed and produced by Lantern Light Studios Inc. It is a physics based launcher/catapult style game. Currently it is only on Windows and Mac operating systems but it does have controller support. Our team hopes to get the game onto phones and potentially consoles as well. It is currently in an open beta available on Itch.io. The game consists of the player controlling a bored/angered king that tosses a sword down a never ending table where the player controls the force of the throw and the angle of it. As the sword moves down the table there are NPCs, food stacks on the table, chandeliers, and banners that can be hit with the sword for points. The movement of the blade can be influenced by runes on the sword found in the "Forge" where the player can also customize the sword to be their own unique blade. There are also power-ups that the player can use to increase speed, jump, and hover the blade to increase the distance the sword travels. If you'd like to check out the BETA it can be found here! We appreciate all feedback.
The King's Feast Gameplay
For this ongoing project I was the producer on the role. My job was run/assist with all meetings and scrum sit-downs. I also preformed one on one's if there were every any issues to find the problems within the development process. With the development process I also worked on asset/task tracking/management (primarily with spreadsheets and documents) often coinciding with meeting with the various team leads to ensure that progress was moving forward. I also wrote the large parts of the Game Design Document (GDD) for the project before it was fully moving forward. Overall the team absolutely killed it and I cannot wait to see what's to come next for the project and our future updates on it.
