Name: Down the Microscope/Up the Telescope

Yarn: Acrylic. Vivid pin, lime green, black, white, dark blue, brown, gold. 

Lining: Cotton. Owls cartoon.

Size: 7.5" wide at base x 9.5" deep.

Note:  This is my first attempt at a microscope, and if you are a scientist you will know it has come out looking like something rudimentary from the 16th century. But it is a start! I wanted to knit an eye observing a sample - is it a microbe, is it a bug, is it a cell? 

But when it was complete, it seemed that maybe the sample is watching the eye through a telescope! 

This is a narrower bag than my other messengers, but it is plenty deep. The lining is a thick owls fabric, and gives the bag nice structure. Crossbody strap. No button, not needed with the relatively narrow top opening. I used a little overstitching, to add the gold detail to the microscope. 

Who's zooming who?

Button: Small bright green plastic rose.

Lining: Cotton. Vintage leafy-look fabric.

Size: 12" wide at base x 10" deep.

Note:  This is my second bag featuring images of cell migration during brain development. 

Or as my husband says, they look like some fancy olives on cocktail sticks!

I am loving the light blue background with the vivid colors.  This is a really nice sturdy bag and lined with my favorite thick vintage-look-leafy-pattern fabric. To finish it I added a vivid green plastic rose button closure which matches those lime green handbag straps.

Yarn: Acrylic. Navy, lime, orange, bright pink.

Button: Small bright pink plastic sunflower.

Lining: Cotton. Black with big white polka dots. 

Size: 6" wide at base x 6" deep.

Note:  This little BoobyKeep shows a study from a bigger design, "Myelination". The front of the bag shows the neuron (nerve cell) with orange nucleus and its "lightning bolt" dendrites reaching out to connect with its environment. The axon, the longest fiber, extends round the back and will "talk" to other neurons. 

Background is a simple navy, including crossbody strap. The button is a discrete but effective bright pink plastic sunflower and the lining black with white polka dots.

Yarn: Acrylic. Blue, tan, red, turquoise, green, yellow. 

Button: Light wood 4-hole.

Lining: Cotton. Vintage leafy-look fabric.

Size: 12" wide at base x 10" deep 

Note:  I have always been intrigued by palmistry, and created this design - definitely something different! The bag is a mid blue, with the lines represented in red (heart), yellow, (head) green (life) and turquoise (fate).

I used the TINIEST bit of overstitching to clean up the text letters, but 99% of this is knitted intarsia style. 

As its a complex image, I added the button closure to the rear; it is a plain light wood 4-hole.  The lining is thick fabric, which makes this a lovely sturdy bag for hand or shoulder carrying. 

Mysterious!
