Fight for the Truth

You may be wondering what misinformation is, misinformation is when false or inaccurate information is spread intentionally and is made to deceive people. It can also spread in several ways like local news social media posts and rumors and the list goes on from that. It can also cause panic.
We should fight for the truth because many people get misinformed of what is happening in the world. People can also panic when they hear false information. Some people might also spread misinformation among another like rumors and local news might catch hang of this and spread this false news further. This can deceive people and this news can also be used to manipulate people and change their ideas.
Did you know that misinformation can affect your choices because there are many articles filled with misinformation that people trust? And these articles can also cause a lower grade for students. For their research project because the information is a lower quality information. Misinformation can also ruin a person’s reputation because deep fakes are also another form of misinformation. Misinformation can also make people biased about each other.
Did you know that misinformation can mess up your memory, a test conducted by Elizabeth Loftus a psychologist. This test conducted shows that when people get exposed to misinformation, they can create false memories. After the test, the patients that were shown a car crash on the highway were asked several questions and one specific question, was how fast the cars crashed into each other but then the question changed slightly now instead. Of how fast the cars the cars crashed into each other it was how fast did the cars smashed into each other and then there was a different answer to the slightly changed question.
Some people say that we should just ignore misinformation but we should not because misinformation can also affect your memories. Too much exposure to it can create false memories. Misinformation is bad regardless of form or intention. It can also affect a child by giving them a one-sided view of the world and they might not be able to express themselves that considers others’ views, and the list goes on from that.
In conclusion, misinformation can come in many shapes and forms. Every day more people fall further from the truth if they believe the false information. Misinformation makes us do double check of meaning or understanding before we are believing and more aware. What be worrying situated from misinformation is the falsehoods that are created from them who believe the misinformation.
The Power of Truth

Have you ever come across a video of someone saying strange things like the earth is flat or the moon is heading towards us? You may have seen this before; this might have a chance to be misinformation. It is due to a study by USC (University of Southern California). As more people use social media, the sharing of false information has increased thrice in the last year. This is a big problem because people may believe false information as true. This text is about whether is misinformation going to be a big problem, and I think yes.
Social media attracts both influencers and people looking for information. The rate of growth is high, as numerous individuals utilizing phones are constantly consuming a wide array of media. Regrettably, the prevalence of false information is abundant, and if left uncontrolled, its growth rate will increase threefold annually. This holds immense importance.
A considerable number of youngsters, mostly those below thirteen years old, tend to accept as true anything they encounter on the internet, including articles and films. Parents often neglect to supervise the type of information their kids consume. Elderly individuals are also prone to be misled, as they often share intriguing content and rely on outdated websites that are more convenient for them.
The consequences of misinformation are insignificant. Although malware poses a threat to individuals, the makers of it are seldom held accountable for their actions. Even companies of significant size can acknowledge errors and carry on without facing any repercussions. These messages possess the ability to cause severe damage to individuals' well-being.
Social media policies hold significant sway in deciding whether to prioritize preventing blindness or providing sustenance amidst divergent views on the matter. For example, YouTube has no measures in place to control misinformation, resulting in the promotion of misleading clickbait content that has reached a massive audience of more than two billion. Instead of getting rid of or decreasing the visibility of such material, YouTube actively encourages its distribution. Using YouTube is not discouraged; however, these behaviors are promoted.
As technology advances, so does the threat of dishonest bots and unwanted messages. The danger continues to rise at an alarming rate, potentially reaching a point where it cannot be contained. Although slight misinformation may amuse some individuals, the detrimental impact of many of it cannot be overlooked. Regrettably, there is a chance that addressing this problem in a meaningful way might no longer be achievable.

Have you received a random stranger’s call and asked for your cash? Well, it could most likely be a scammer on the internet. Scammers act like they work as a banker to steal people’s money or any of your insurance.
Scammers like to get you to reveal your details, steal information from you, or make you hand over cash or any of your belongings. Mostly scammers scam because they want money or people’s belongings. They mostly scam people that are not that experienced with social media like old people because it’s much easier to scam them.
We must be careful about the people asking about our personal information. Such as people we don’t know because we could get scammed easily if we don’t be careful. If we get a random call from someone, we need to say no if they say anything about our personal belongings.
Scammers mostly understand how to scam wealthy people by tricking them into paying something, but the payment is going to the scammer’s bank account. Scammers also try to find people that seem vulnerable. If a scammer makes a close connection with its victim it will ask for money for an emergency, hospital bills, or anything that you got to pay for. Scammers mostly use dating websites to act like normal people but scam people to get closer to its victim so the scammer could know more about their personal information.
There are ways to stop scammers if you see one, you could report them to the police. Don’t always trust contact you don’t know because they might be scammers. Never open unexpected links, words, or images if you feel like it will lead you to a scammer having contact with you.
In conclusion, we must be careful about what we see on the internet and the people asking about out personal information. If we don’t be careful scammers could get our cash or our personal information. If you get a random call from somebody who asks us for our personal information or our cash we need to be brave by saying no.

Have you ever watched a video that had a cool thing and asked you to invest to improve it and found out that it was just fake and you wasted money? That is known as a scam where people lie to get something they want from people like you, these people are called scammers and they usually advertise false things like what I said before. This makes people wonder, how should I avoid scams and should I even care?
Firstly, we all know that scammers use sneaky ways to misinform you and to get your personal data, which can be used to blackmail you or to even spy on you. In 2023 recent studies on scam activity have actually showed that scams are starting to become more than just fake calls, scams have taken the form of videos, investments and more.
Secondly, scammers target those who are not tech savvy or use devices all the time. For example, old people, parents not familiar with tech, unsuspecting kids, and way more. Scams have even elevated to scammers gaining access to your own desktop by telling you to download a special app through a call called AnyDesk and connect to your desktop and will take control of your device while also being able to download spyware, malware, viruses, email worms, and a ton of others that get even more complex.
Lastly, scammers can also twist their words or trick the victim into doing their instructions, this method of twisting words and tricking is most commonly used on old people. Scammers can even have romance with you by pretending to be someone pretty or handsome, some scammers will also lie about themselves saying they own a diamond company with high salary and wanting to hire you and will most likely ask you for your bank details. Sometimes even your friends can scam you but they will most likely be simple ones like asking you to lend them some money and saying they will repay you back but you will probably not get repaid.
Scammers often target vulnerable victims like people that don’t know the full extent to scams like people that aren’t concerned with scams. People that aren’t concerned can be easier to scam and people that aren’t knowledgeable about the topic of scams can be easily scammed as well and it’s totally understandable that people aren’t concerned about scams became it’s rare to actually get a scam call but scams actually happen way more than people think so. Scams can be an actual dangerous thing and people should be concerned instead of being ignorant.
