Participants will be randomly sorted to groups of 4. They will roleplay creating their own political party. After creating names, setting target groups of voters etc. there will be a short simulation of elections.
The aim of the practices is to understand the process of elections and getting familiar with it from different point of view. This activity can help participants understand and recognize propaganda techniques, making them more aware of it as future voters in elections.
This workshop was originally aimed at secondary school students - mainly targeting students aged 18 who were voting in the European Parliament elections for the first time. The workshop was developed within the Eurodesk network and subsequently used during Eurocentre activities.
However, it can currently be used as an activity for all students.
