Implementation Steps - Peacock feather
Introduction:
Each person receives a peacock feather the tip/shaft of which they try to balance on the back of their hands, on their fingertip, on their palm
Each person finds which place is the easiest for them to balance the feather
Becoming one with the feather
The trick is to watch the “eye” of the peacock’s feather which is key to balancing it
Once it is possible to balance the feather easily, try to lie down on the floor whilst balancing the feather/keeping it upright
Try to get up from the floor whilst keeping the feather upright
Interactive Activities:
Once each person masters the feather balance, try a game:
Whilst balancing the feather try to get closer to others and blow at their feather so that it falls. Once it falls, the person with the fallen feather is out of the game.
The last person in the with their feather still balanced/upright wins
Required Materials
Peacock feather
Feathers can be bought from any haberdashery, especially in autumn when peacocks shed their feathers
Preferably the activity should be done indoors as even the slightest wind will make the activity very challenging, especially for amateurs.
