UW - Oshkosh students from the Outdoor Adventure and Leisure Activities class, in coordination with their professor, GSNWGL Outdoor Champion Program, and Cadette Girl Scout Troop #2344, are excited to use their leadership skills to plan and facilitate Mini-Camp 2021 at Camp Winnecomac.
The Mini-Camp is helping UWO students complete their class assignments that include writing lesson plans, mitigating risks, effective communication, outdoor trip planning, and giving girls a chance to be successful while enjoying the outdoors. Students work in teams to create approximately 48 lesson plans to ensure that each badge step is met. We are grateful to them for choosing to use their education and training to help Girl Scouts have purposeful fun while they earn their badges outdoors.
All UWO students will be enjoying our hospitality in the Yurts at night while Girl Scouts stay in the Lodges.
The students from UWO will have passed a Girl Scout background check through the Girl Scouts of the Northwestern Great Lakes.
