We are looking forward to having 16 Junior Girl Scouts join us on Friday, May 7th at 6:30 pm to Sunday, May 9th at 2:00 pm!
While the girls are at camp they will work with UWO students and earn the Eco Camper, Camper, and Detective badges. They will also work on parts of the Trail Adventure / Practice with Purpose badges.
The girls will be enjoying fun and challenging activities on their overnight. Junior Girl Scouts will be spending the nights in Eagle's Lodge with Girl Scout adult supervision and the days out in a unit house!
You should receive an email mid-April from the students introducing themselves along with the two day agenda, menu, and list of what the girls need to bring to camp.
Please drop your Junior Girl Scout between 6:30 pm and 6:45 pm on Friday.
When you drop your Girl Scout off at Camp Winnecomac, you will need to park on the street and walk her to the parking lot and turn in her health history form and permission slip. Girls must have a signed permission slip and health history form! There will be cones blocking the parking lot to ensure girls' safety as they wait for their sister Girl Scouts to arrive. At 6:45 pm, the group will walk up the driveway together and bring their stuff to Eagle's Lodge before heading to their unit house. Girls will be expected to carry their own stuff, so please make sure they pack only what they need. If you should arrive after 6:45 pm, please walk your Girl Scout up the driveway to Eagle's Lodge.
Please pick up your Junior Girl Scout between 2:00 pm and 2:15 pm on Sunday. When you her up, please park on the street and then come to the parking lot to show your photo ID and sign that you picked her up. To avoid confusion, we ask on the permission slip to write who will be picking your Girl Scout up. If for some reason that would change, please call the contact number on your part of the permission slip to let them know. If you should arrive after 2:15 pm, please walk up to Eagle's Lodge to pick up your Junior Girl Scout.
As part of their badge girls may be hiking to 1,000 Island Environmental Center. 1,000 Islands is attached to Camp Winnecomac and located at 1000 Beaulieu Ct in Kaukauna.
