Even though Camp Winnecomac is in the city, it has a small rustic parking lot so we are going to follow procedures similar to drop off and pick up at summer camp.
UWO students will have their cars parked in the parking lot so we ask that you park on the street and walk your Girl Scout to and from the far end of the parking lot for drop up and pick up. The parking lot will have cones blocking the entrance off during times of pick up and drop off to ensure girls safety while coming and going from camp. Should you arrive late, please walk your Girl Scout up the gravel driveway to Eagle's Lodge. The driveway starts at the swinging metal gate off of the far left corner of the parking lot.
We will ask on the permission slip that you write down who is going to be picking up your Girl Scout. This is to avoid any confusion. Since, girls are not coming with their leaders or parents, we don't want them to have to worry about remembering who is picking them up and we want to make sure they do not go home with their friend instead of you. If it should change as to who is picking your Girl Scout up, please notify us by calling the number on your part of the permission slip. If the names do not match for pick up, we will give the emergency contact person a call to make sure your Girl Scout is going home with the correct person. NOTE: Adults picking up Girl Scouts will have to show a photo ID.
If you should arrive late or your Girl Scout needs to leave early, please bring them to or pick them up in Eagle's Lodge. Eagle's Lodge is the large brown building straight across from of the top of the driveway.
You will receive a permission slip and health history form sent via email in mid-April.
