Millbrook Fair ambassador

The Millbrook Agricultural Society is pleased to announce a $500 scholarship to the winner of this year's Ambassador Competition, upon full completion of their duties and after showing proof of acceptance or current enrolment in post-secondary studies.

Ambassador Competition open to young men and women aged 16- 22 years of age.

Junior Ambassador Competition open to young men and women aged 12-15.

Description/Duties:

This is a wonderful opportunity for our up and coming youth to show their skills and support for our community and surrounding areas. The Junior Ambassador position was created to generate more interest in the role of Ambassador and to increase involvement in the community at a younger age.


The ambassador will be present the weekend of the fair, attend the O.A.A.S Convention in Toronto in February at the Royal York and possibly represent Millbrook Fair at the C.N.E. Ambassador Competition the following year in August.

Contestant Requirements:

Ambassador

Male or Female between the ages of 16 - 22 and live in the Millbrook area (Cavan, Omemee, Fowlers Corners, Bethany/Manvers, Peterborough, Fraserville, South Monaghan, Kendall, etc.)

Junior Ambassador

Male or Female between the ages of 12-15 and live in the Millbrook area (Cavan, Omemee, Fowlers Corners, Bethany/Manvers, Peterborough, Fraserville, South Monaghan, Kendall, etc.)

Ambassador Competition Requirements:

Contestants will complete a private interview, a 2-5 minute speech on a selected topic, and answer an impromptu question.
