Aiken karate students made fine showings in the Sam Chapman American Karate Championships in Greenville last weekend.
Mike Hess was the fourth place black belt winner, while Frank Fulmer took first place honors in the adult forms (Kata).
Hank McCullough took third in the forms and fourth in the fighting. Joe Castleberry took fourth in the forms. Bryan Cumbee took third place honors in the forms. Wayne Gunter also participated and received a metal.
All students are members of Virgil Kimmey's U.S. Tai Karate Club.
