Karate Students Place in Region

Ten South Aiken Karate School students placed in the eighth annual South Carolina Mid-State Karate Championships for Region 8 Saturday.

David Hutto, Greg Paschal, Jimmy Thacker, Lenny Knight, Ricky McKee, Jackie Herron, Hank McCullough, Dawn Sabino, Scott Ratliff, and Chris Wollam placed in all of their divisions. The instructors are Mike Hess and Donna Arthur. Hess placed fourth in Kata and second in light heavyweight fighting.

The tournament was B-rated by Karate Illustrated, and A-rated by the DOJO Organization.
