How to Collect your Micro-Teaching / Assessment & Feedback Micro-Credential
This micro-credential is awarded to participants in the Micro-Teaching / Assessment & Feedback sessions for improving their teaching practices by developing, delivering, and reflecting upon a micro-teaching lesson.
Participate in the Event
Participate in both micro-teaching sessions of Micro-teaching Sessions (October 24 and 25, 2023).
Write a 100-200 word reflection on key take-away points from Micro-teaching Sessions and its impact on your approach to assessment and feedback. Complete instructions can be found on the badge application form.
Apply for the Badge
Follow the link in your email to the badge application form.
Only those who participated in both days of this event are eligible for the micro-credential; they will receive the badge application form link in their Day 2 feedback email.Enter your name and Seneca email address.
Upload your 2 pieces of evidence:
the micro-teaching presentation you created and presented on Day 2
a short reflection examining: i) their exploration of formative assessment and feedback strategies and ii) the incorporation of peer feedback on your micro-lesson into your teaching practice
Indicate whether you wish to share your work.
Submit your application.
Claim your Badge
Check your Seneca email after a week or so. If you’ve demonstrated all the criteria, you’ll receive a message from Seneca Polytechnic via CanCred titled “Claim Your Micro-teaching/Assessment & Feedback badge.”
Select the “Claim your badge” link in the email to send your badge to the eCampusOntario Open Badge Passport.
Or select the “Download this badge as pdf” link in the email to save a signed pdf certificate.
