ColorAssist Tutorial

Watch this tutorial on how to use colorassist!

Download the free ColorAssist app on your respective device(s). After opening the app, place your phone camera up to any object, and the app will reveal and analyze the color--in outputs of your choosing--immediately. Based on the iPhone version of the app, color outputs can range from red, green, and blue responses (RGB), responses in degrees on the color wheel (also known as HSL), a primary color triad (red, yellow and blue), or the printer color ink scheme, CMYK (cyan, magenta, yellow and black), just to name a few.

Pressing the ‘Settings’ button on your screen (shown on the top right of the image below) will allow you to select all of those outputs to be captured of your sample.

Any object captured on the screen can be selected toe zoom in on or take 'samples' of the colors found. To view each sample captured, press the 'Edit' button and they will all be sorted in picture form.

Lots of things can be managed within this app: the size of the sample taken included! To send yourself the captured samples, after pressing the “Edit” button and viewing your samples, press the sharing button on the bottom left of the screen and email the samples to yourself.

Choosing the “Email Color Samples” option will allow you to send your color samples in a tabular format to your email.

All you have to do next is enter your email and press the send button!
