For this assignment we were tasked with creating a curiculum for a week of classes. This week had to hit the three core standards of Performing, Responding, and Creating. We decided to use the theme "What does it mean to be American?". The music we chose was centered around this theme. In this assignment we included Listening Maps, Movement Schemes, Musicologist Quest, and Hacking Notation Charts. This project is a good representation of what we learned in MTL.

Music Teacher Narrative
My grandfather would always tell me that I would be a great teacher. It took me many years to realize this, but teaching is my true purpose. My philosophy is centered around the individual student. Every student has a different approach to learning, and every student/teacher dynamic is special and unique. I want to foster deep and meaningful relationships with my students; this way I can tailor my lessons to be suitable for every student in my classroom, and be aware of the different styles of learning.
It is my belief that every good musician has the obligation to pass on the knowledge of their craft. Our lives here on earth are short and it is important to fill each moment with meaning. This is why I teach, so that I may give the gift of music to those who are seeking it.
