What does it mean to be a critical thinker? This is important to to becoming a flexible teacher. We always want to be growing as educators. In order for this to happen we must question our methods, and the teaching standards. By being a critical thinker, we are constantly evolving as teachers, and musicians.
Liberating the Curiculum is something I found very interesting. In this video I talk about the importance of relating to your students, and the importance of asking yourself questions. It is important to question your methods in order to avoid complacency. Yes, we must follow the mandatory guidelines given to us by the state, but we must always be creative when approching the curriculum and our teaching methods.
