What does it mean to be a Flexible Musician? As a teacher we must remain flexible, otherwise we become rigid in our methods. A flexible musician is one who is always learning. In regards to being a flexible music teacher, you must also be a student. Being on top of the latest music trends and understanding the music your students care about is important to being a flexible musician.
Informal Teaching and Learning
This performance of Yesterday displays adaptability and requires being a flexible musician. We were assigned as a group to fascilitate a group in learning a song, and a seperate group was assigned to fascilitate our group. This was the result. Here we had to work together and arrange the song in a way that made sense to this group. There were mistakes, however, we were able to stay on track and adapt to the changes. During rehearsal we were able to coordinate parts and form and put it into practice. This performance is the result of only 30 minutes of practice. All in all, we were able to provide an acceptable performance.
