Implementation
System Support makes up approximately 5% of my time at the middle school level. Through System Support, I complement other programs and schoolwide initiatives through:
Evaluation: Consistent evaluation of the counseling program, including applying to be a Recognized ASCA Model Program (RAMP) and being accepted as a Program of Promise.
Professional Development: Each year, I attend a variety of SEL, mental health, trauma informed, suicide prevention and other workshops that support my work with students. I have also presented PD to staff at a district level as well as to other counselors at the MSCA. Additionally, I have participated in Learning for Justice's Critical Practices in Social Justice Education cohort and will soon complete Restorative Practices Academy and Breathe for Change.
Professional Organizations: I am currently a member of the Missouri School Counselor Association (MSCA) and attend the annual conference each November. I am also a member of the American School Counselor Association (ASCA) and the St. Louis Suburban School Counselor Association (SLSSCA).
Community Outreach: Advisory Council (Fall and Spring)
