My name is Mia Fusco, and I hold a K-12 certification as a school counselor and am a Nationally Certified Counselor (NCC). I am currently providing comprehensive counseling and guidance to approximately 600 students at Rogers Middle School in St. Louis, MO. My practice with sixth through eighth-grade students is guided by a fully comprehensive counseling and guidance model, as recommended by DESE, which incorporates guidance curriculum, individual planning, responsive services, and system support.
Over the course of 13 years, I have accrued extensive knowledge and experience through my diverse range of roles and educational pursuits. I completed my Master's in School Counseling from UMSL and subsequently attained an Education Specialist Degree with a focus on Mental Health Practices in Schools from Mizzou. My professional experience includes prior roles as a before/after care staff assistant, technology assistant, para for SSD, elementary school counselor, and middle school counselor. Additionally, I remain actively engaged as a summer camp counselor for students with Autism Spectrum Disorder.
Overall, I remain deeply passionate about fostering the social-emotional and academic development of students. My breadth of knowledge and expertise enables me to provide exemplary guidance and counseling to the students whom I serve.
