Why I chose this message:

• I chose this message because I want young women to know that intelligence is beautiful. I tried to give the piece an overall youthful feeling by using red text to represent red lipstick, a symbol of beauty and independence itself. I also used the photo of a young woman at work on her computer because it sets the tone for my message.

• My off center alinement was placed to follow the silhouette of the woman.

• "Are" is aligned with the far right "s" in "Brains".

• The website is alined with the lowest point of the "y" in "Beauty" .

• Used the ruler tool to make sure all of the alinements were exact.

• There is font contrast between the geometric Sans Sarif (BEBAS NEUE) and the organic brush stroke font (Lovely Boys).

• There is also contrast between the neutral pallet of the image/background and the deep red of the text.

• 2 fonts were used in this piece and repeat in an alternating pattern.

• Large areas of black are also repeated, in the pants, shirt, and text.

• A drop shadow repeats on the image of the woman and on the red text.

• The text follows the silhouette of the woman leaving an appropriate amount of space between them.

• Used the character panel to add space between the letters of the website name.
