Bioreactors of various scales (miniature to lab scale) are routinely used for bioprocessing experiments using industrial microbes. They are capable of maintaining all process parameters required. We piloted and optimised Biopolymers (PHB and Cellulose) biosynthesis.
Botanical and Medicinal Plant Lab@IITMandi
All scholars call it Stress buster lab. Houses collection of rare and endangered plants, herbarium. Some exciting projects of focus are - Essential Oil profiling, Medicinal plant phytochemistry, Infusion tech, Models of Farmer-Academia-Industry-NGO network. Few lead to engaging with NABARD, Industries and Startups. The lab is in the process of technology transfer for farmer benefits.
