Idols don't just sing and dance, but also undertake a range of other work within the entertainment industry. Sometimes they do this as a group, but the members may also be invited individually to be part of another piece of work.
So far, MeseMoa. have held 1 play and 2 musicals as a group: INNOCENT BOYS, Cry for the Moon, and Re:Trigger. Most of the members took part in the DD-wide musical Phantom Quest. Some of the members have also appeared individually in musicals, plays and reading theatre. These have included Tokaido Yotsuya Kaidan, Koroshitemo ii Inochi, and RAYZ OF LIGHT.
Sometimes MeseMoa.'s performances at idol events are broadcast on TV, and the members may be invited to feature on certain programmes. Aoi used to be a regular yellow reporter for the show Neko no Hitai Hodo Wide. The group hosted their own variety show called Musutama between 2015 and 2017. Some of the members have also acted in TV series, such as Kaiju Club, for which Traffic Light. performed the ending theme.
The DD DokiDoki Radio!! show is held every Friday night at midnight JST. Nichan is one of the sub-personalities who host the show and invite other members of DD to feature in corners and answer messages from fans. The show is broadcast on FM FUJI and can only be listened to within Japan, but you can follow along using #ddどきらじ on Twitter. The members also occasionally appear on other radio shows such as NicoRadio, Shirofuku's appearance on which led to the formation of Musumen.
Some of the members have voiced characters in anime and apps, such as the now closed-down Koi Suru Oyasumi Call production. Traffic Light. also released mini voice drama CDs as an exclusive bonus to those who bought their albums. Tomitake and Nozakibento used to host a regular radio show where they would invite famous voice actors to teach them skills.
MeseMoa. have released 2 photobooks as a group, as well as a collaboration with *ChocoLate Bomb!!. Since 2017, all 9 members have released solo photobooks, and miniature photobooks have been produced as fanclub exclusive merchandise or gifts. As these books are counted within the Oricon charts, release events such as meet and greets are held to promote the book and encourage sales.
Only Aoi and Shirofuku have featured in films so far. This is less common than other individual work as it requires a lot of time out of the members' usual schedule. Many of the plays and TV shows they've featured in have been turned into DVDs.
Occasionally the members are invited to model clothing, and Tomitake even collaborated with a fashion brand to produce his own MeseMoa. themed designs. They're also frequently featured in magazines, such as JUNON, which are usually available to buy as ebooks. Some members have been ambassadors for brands, featuring in their advertisements and performing at promotional events. Nozakibento was an ambassador for the Yawamochi ice cream product, and Nokkuso was featured in Suntory's adverts for Dark Horse wine.
