MeseMoa. post all their music videos and dance cover videos to their YouTube channel, as well as plenty of other content. Over the years they have posted MeseMoa. Life videos which have included home videos, games and quizzes, behind the scenes footage, and videos from live shows etc. While they previously posted on a regular schedule, they announced that from 2022 they will focus on returning to their roots by posting more dance covers, meaning their posts are no longer regular.
Except for the Sesshoseki Session music video, all subtitles added to MeseMoa.'s YouTube videos so far were created by fans. YouTube has now discontinued the community captions feature so there is no longer a way for fans to add captions to any of their videos. You may be able to find captions on older videos, more frequently in other languages like Chinese. You can find updates on video translations using the #mesemoaengsub tag on Twitter.
MeseMoa. currently have 2 blogs: the LINE blog where the members post, and the Ameba blog to which official event information is posted. There is no posting schedule for the members' posts, and you'll find that some of them post more frequently than others. You can add the official MeseMoa. account as a friend on LINE to receive notifications of new blog posts and the occasional exclusive message.
The group previously had a NND Blomaga (now deleted but archived using the Wayback Machine), and some of the members have written their own personal blogs. A fan created this useful tool (in Japanese only) to search for MeseMoa.'s content across all the different blog sites.
NND is the site the members all began posting their videos to, so it played an important role in the group's formation. What makes NND unique is that comments are anonymous and scroll across the screen in real time while watching the video. Videos are uploaded under categories and ranked based on their MyList activity to views ratio. If you do not have premium membership, you may not be able to watch videos in high quality, especially at busy times. There is an English version of the site, although it isn't the most accessible website ever.
There are many old Musumen. and pre-Musumen. videos on NND which aren't available on YouTube, and some videos which are exclusive to community members; anyone can join a community with a free NND account. As part of its role in creating communities, NND has hosted events for certain categories, such as Dance Master, an event specifically for odorite, and NicoNico Cho Party, a huge convention involving participants from across many different categories.
MeseMoa. haven't been using NND much recently so you don't need to worry about figuring out how it works if you don't need to. In 2018, DD began broadcasting twice monthly livestreams on DD Channel, an exclusive channel which cost 550yen per month to watch. The channel was discontinued at the end of 2020 but you can still watch the archived livestreams if you have channel membership. Channel membership can be purchased from abroad using PayPal.
MeseMoa. sometimes hold group livestreams to promote their activities or mark a certain occasion, often involving games and quizzes, and they occasionally livestream their free lives. The members also livestream individually or in groups, taking the time to talk about recent events and interact with fans through the comments. Some members livestream more frequently than others, and they may or may not announce on Twitter before beginning to stream. There is usually an archive available for those unable to watch in real time. Here are some of the streaming platforms they use:
Twitcast - The most frequently used platform. Can be watched on desktop or mobile but you need a free account to leave comments. Streamers are given the option to save the archives of all streams. DD have also been using Twitcast for their pay-to-view livestreamed concerts during the pandemic. The ticket purchasing process is really easy to follow and accepts overseas cards for payment.
YouTube - Mostly used for group livestreams and music video premieres. Streams are free to watch and the archive is saved automatically. You can also send money to the channel using the Super Chat function.
LINELIVE - The official LINE streaming app. Can be watched on desktop or mobile, but the app is not available outside Japan so you'll need to download it using other methods. Streams are limited to 1 hour long. Archives are saved automatically but get deleted if nobody watches them for 6 months. The app has a built-in screenshot function and lets you send gifts and hearts to give points to your favourite streamers.
Twitch - A streaming app mostly used by Nibansenji which can be watched via desktop or the app. Archives are saved for 2 weeks after the stream, and viewers can create 30 second clips which remain on their account for longer.
KARASTA - A streaming app for karaoke lovers, which also allows you to record and post vocal cover songs. Livestreams are limited to 1 hour exactly. You can only watch the stream using the official app which is not available outside Japan, so you'll need to download it using other methods.
Instagram - Streams can be watched from the members' profiles on the app, but require an extension if you want to watch on desktop. Archives are saved to Stories for 24 hours only but can be added to IGTV pages for unlimited viewing.
NicoNama - NND's built-in streaming function. Members with a free account can only watch in reduced quality and may be kicked out of the stream in favour of a premium member if there is not enough space. Premium members can view the archive of any stream up to 30 days after it ends. Free members must request a Timeshift archive at least 30 minutes before the livestream starts, otherwise you'll miss it. Some official NND broadcasts are available for unlimited viewing. MeseMoa. have previously streamed pay-to-view concerts on NicoNama, but in recent years they have favoured Twitcast and other sites.
You can download region-restricted apps by using a VPN to change your location in the relevant app store, or by downloading APKs if you use Android - make sure you are aware of the risks before doing so.
