CONWAY CROSS

The Conway Cross has been installed as a permanent display in the alcove in the upstairs area o the premises. Its preservation and display was funded by the Vietnam Veterans Association of Australia (Vic Branch). A more detailed outline of the history and significance of the Cross is described on a separate page elsewhere on this website.

FURTHER IMPROVEMENTS to LIBRARY DISPLAY

Thanks to the efforts and generosity of the Nillumbik Council, a display case is to be purchased and located in the entrance area to the Eltham Library, on the right of the steps, against the wall, beneath the Roll of Honour (which was installed at a function involving the MERSL and the Nillumbik Council ... see the Occasional Displays section). The Memorabilia Group has provided a set of memorabilia items for display in the cabinet, with some rotation of items occurring over time (frequency of changes is still to be discussed with the Council).
