HONOUR BOARDS within the CLUB
The first photo below shows the names of those who held office since the formation of the combined Montmorency and Eltham groups. It wasn't a formal amalgamation as it came into existence after the closure of the Eltham Sub Branch. Arrangements to encourage and include those Eltham members were approved by the State Branch and the combined name arose from those discussions.
Prior to that time, there were many office bearers in each of the two separate Sub Branches (Montmorency & Eltham) since the early days. Some of the more recent Honour Boards are still on display within the club and they remember past Presidents, Secretaries and others who held significant positions on the relevant committees. The photos of Honour Boards also includes the one recognizing the office bearers in the Montmorency RSL Ladies Auxiliary.
The last photos show the Honour Boards for the Montmorency RSL, prior to combining with Eltham, and another showing the Life Members appointed subsequent to the formation of the Montmorency-Eltham RSL.
