If you or your student feels uncomfortable around cats, please let me know before arriving at my house so that I can accommodate you.

Sasha (orange) and Sophie (gray) are purebred Siberians. This breed is especially good for people who have cat allergies because they carry less of the protein that causes allergic reactions in most people. (My husband is normally allergic to cats, but he doesn’t react to these cats.)

Sasha (orange) is a ray of sunshine. She’s very playful and she loves attention. Even though she’s an adult, she has retained her little kitten voice.

Sophie (gray or officially “silver”) is our more regal cat. She’s more aloof and mysterious, but I often find her sleeping in whatever room I’m in because she loves to be with me.

Most students enjoy getting acquainted with my cats and I’ve noticed that my cats sometimes even help relieve some math anxiety in students who struggle with that.
