The Myki card is a contactless smart card system that powers most of Victoria's public transport system.
You can use Myki to get to nearly anywhere in Melbourne and a fair chunk of Victoria.
Anyone can purchase a myki card. There are different locations where you can purchase mykis, including:
At a myki machine, located at your nearest train station, or occasionally PTV Hubs.
If you have an Android phone, you may purchase digital myki, called Mobile myki.
When boarding bus routes, speak to the driver and you may purchase a myki with up to $20.*
Calling the public transport call centre, on 1800 800 007.
Retail outlets such as Seven-Elevens, local milk bars or newsagencies.
There are different types of concession fares which provide discounts and make it easier to travel on the network.
