Here is my running document of ideas on how to do better. This is comprehensive, ranging from teaching ideas and collaboration to how to fix the printer! It has proven to be a great resource to me as I continue to grow as an educator and a professional.
Attendance is of paramount concern, even for cocurricular activities. With the Chamber Orchestra, you can see the two ways I keep track of attendance. On the left is the hard copy, and on the right is the digital. Below you will see a photo of our Chamber Orchestra from the Nanuet Chamber of Commerce Art Show. To the right is a document I maintain with the various duties and tasks associated with Chamber Orchestra before our weekly rehearsals.
In addition to receiving wonderful emails like the above left from parents of alumna, I cherish the communication I have with families. The Suzuki Triangle to the right is something I believe in deeply. Whether it's at Meet the Teacher or Parent Teacher Conference night, or a concert or gig, or even just an email or phone call, I am very lucky to have such wonderful partnerships with parents in educating our students.Â
Participation in our school community is paramount in my professional responsibilities. One of the most fun ways I was able to participate this year was in the Faculty Basketball Game.
