MOVEMENT SKILLS PROJECT:
This project focuses on Maci’s movement skill development. It highlights her current abilities, such as running with eyes forward, catching with her hands, and underhand throwing with proper opposition. The plan outlines skills she is working on, including leaping, moving while catching, shifting weight when throwing, and balancing on beams. Activities cover sliding, jumping, galloping, throwing, kicking, and balancing, with each teacher candidate leading specific skill-based exercises using cues and adaptations. The goal is to support Maci’s motor skill progress through engaging, structured activities, ensuring steady improvement in coordination, strength, and confidence.

I CORT PLAY PROJECT:
The I-CORT Framework 2.0 (Hudson, 2022) is built on six key elements, Intentionality, Intersectionality, Care, Optimism, Respect, and Trust. I-CORT Framework 2.0 ensures that learning is not just about gaining knowledge but also about building meaningful relationships, fostering personal growth, and creating a supportive community. This research-based model is designed to create inclusive, caring, and student-centered learning environments where all individuals are seen as able, valuable, and responsible and treated as such.
Advocacy Website:
My website outlines key guidelines for promoting youth physical activity and proper nutrition. It emphasizes that children and adolescents aged 6 to 17 should engage in at least 60 minutes of moderate-to-vigorous physical activity daily, incorporating aerobic, muscle-strengthening, and bone-strengthening exercises multiple times per week. Additionally, the site provides detailed nutritional recommendations tailored to various age groups, highlighting appropriate daily intakes of calories, proteins, fruits, vegetables, grains, and dairy to support healthy growth and development.
Visual aids:
The visual schedule in the first picture helped Maeve, my 3-year-old adapted student, follow her day with clear, simple steps. The visuals support for preschoolers’ understanding of movement concepts with visuals that are appealing and relatable. The posters reinforce concepts like balance, group and partner play, and spatial awareness through engaging images.
