The focus of this brief was to create an intervention based on a specific aspect of the Graphic Design course that is designed to help students. I decided to create a zine based on Imposter Syndrome, which provides coping mechanisms, gives information about safe spaces and reassures students that they’re not the only ones experiencing these thoughts. The zine also directs students to an Instagram page which gives statistics, quotes from famous people, and advice, providing a safe space for those that need it. I carried out a survey which I handed out to my peers, to get a better idea about how Imposter Syndrome affects those around me and to collect statistics that were specific to my project. I decided to use waved text to show the ups and downs of Imposter Syndrome, and to give a visual explanation of how it feels emotionally.
