This is my entry into D&AD's New Blood Awards 2022. The brief I chose was a collaboration between The Case For Her, a women's sexual health organisation, and Project Drawdown, a non profit organisation fighting climate change. The brief was to create a campaign challenging policymakers and government that incorporates both sexual health and climate change.
I decided to create a campaign aimed at Yorkshire government to encourage them to provide sustainable period products to Yorkshire schools and colleges for free in order to help both period poverty and climate change. I created posters, billboards and Instagram posts as different parts of this campaign in order for it to be as unavoidable and difficult for the government to ignore as possible.
To do this, I embroidered and beaded into menstrual products to use for backgrounds, as I didn't want to shy away from using real products in order to make it more 'palatable' for the audience. I also researched Yorkshire MP's names, child poverty rates in Yorkshire and period poverty rates in Yorkshire to use as bold, eye catching statements and a logo I created in Illustrator featuring the campaign's slogan 'Save Our Planet From The Inside Out.
