All the tasks will be conducted in Zoom with the teacher during the classes. Here is the link: ....
However, if you miss the class, you are supposed to do them by yourself and send to the teacher.
1) Look at the words and the context in which these words are used. Look through these words and try to explain their meaning according to their context.

2) Watch a video devoted to emotional burnout. Take notes while watching, you will need them in further activities.
3) Listen to a podcast and say whether these statements are True (T), False (F) or Not Stated (NS):
The narrator compares a person’s condition with a phone battery.
The term ‘felt senses’ was introduced by Herbert Freudenberger.
A compulsion to prove oneself is one of the phases of the emotional burnout.
Herbert Freudenberger had some serious problems concerning the relationships with his wife and children.
If you have difficult times in certain areas of your life , it might be really helpful to focus on those areas which go well.
Poor quality sleep doesn’t impact our mood and concentration.
4) Now we will do a role-play. You should work with a partner. One student will be a patient and the other one will be a doctor. The students who are patients get cards with the descriptions of their problems. They should talk about their problems, using these prompts and adding some new details. The students who are doctors should listen to them attentively and take notes while listening. (Then the group work starts: all the doctors arrange a conference where they discuss the problems of their patients and offer some ways to solve the problem. I will ask you to use the vocabulary of the lesson while doing this task.) I will relocate you to the sessions rooms so that you don't disturb each other and have the opportunity to discuss everything. After that we will be working together. (Continous assessment)
Evaluation criteria
You will be working in the groups of 3-4 people. Each group will be given the 1st/2nd/3rd part of the same interview given by a stress management coach Jordan Friedman where he discusses stress and the ways of relaxation.
1) You should watch the interview and take notes. Write down the most important information. You can use bullet points or any other note-taking method we discussed during the lesson.
2) After that I will move you to the sessions room, so that you can discuss your results in groups.
3) Using reported speech, try to convey the main content of your part to the others.
4) Analyze others groups’ notes and try to arrange the whole text by putting the pieces into the correct order. When taking notes, don’t forget to use reported speech constructions correctly.
