The Kankakee Workforce Services has a scholarship that will pay for tuition, fees, and books for those who qualify for the Workforce Innovation Opportunity Act (WIOA) Scholarship. It can even pay for uniforms, tools, equipment, licensing fees, mileage reimbursement, and other required supplies!
There are many different ways students can qualify for this scholarship, especially if you are between 16-24 years old. Even if you think you will not qualify, inquire with them to find out for sure if you do or not! While you must complete the FAFSA as a part of the WIOA Scholarship application, you could be qualified without having to consider your guardian's income after turning 18.
The Kankakee Workforce Services gives tools and resources to adults learners through resume development, job search tactics, and financial support who attend school to earn a certificate or degree for a high growth occupation. Kankakee Workforce Services works to help individuals successfully meet their goals and assists local employers with recruiting to help meet hiring needs. They are a part of a network of workforce development federal and state agencies. Kankakee Workforce Services is housed at Kankakee Community College's (KCC) North Extension Center (450 N Kinzie Ave., Bradley, IL) BUT you do not have to attend KCC once qualified for the WIOA Scholarship.
