Those attending reunions include both Officers and Enlisted Men from all eras and deployments. All time periods are well represented with anywhere from eight to twenty Seabees from each era.
Reunions are held at a major hotel where reduced rates have been established for those attending. They usually take place over a period of five days, starting with registration on a Friday.
There is a Memory Room set up where MCB Sixers display their memorabilia such as photo albums, cruise books, MCB-6 Logs, plaques, awards, etc for all to enjoy reminiscing. This is normally the gathering place each day to renew “OLD TIMES” and exchange “SEA STORIES”.
There is also a Ship’s Store where items with the MCB-6 Logo on them such as ball caps, tee shirts, golf shirts, bumper stickers, etc are available for purchase.
On Friday evening there is a “Welcome Meeting”, Saturday evening a Dinner Dance, and on Sunday evening a Memorial Service followed by a Business Meeting.
Each day there are organized bus tours to the surrounding attractions. There is something for everyone and always a “Good Time” is had by all.
One can stay for just one day, two days, three days, for the entire five days or just drop in to meet “OLD SHIPMATES”
