2020 Year In Review

New Time Change For Sunday Services

Starting January 5, 2020 our new start time for Manila Creek 8th Ward Sunday Services will start at 12:00 Noon and go till 2:00 PM. Because we will be the last ward in the building for Sunday services then we will have assignments to put the chairs up and spot clean the building before we leave. Please do your part and what-ever classroom you are in please put the chairs up and pick up the room and also turn out the lights. Thank you for your help.

PG Manila Creek Stake Conference

We're excited to announce that Elder Daniel S. Mehr II of the Seventy will be presiding at our upcoming stake conference on January 18th-19th, 2020. He will be joined by his wife, Sister Rebecca Mehr, a member of the Relief Society General Board. All sessions of the conference will be held in the Alpine Tabernacle.

Click here for instructions from Salt Lake regarding principles to be taught during this and other meetings to be held in 2020. We encourage all to read and prepare for this special event.

Leadership Session - Saturday, January 18th, 4:00-6:00 pm

• All members of the stake and ward council, counselors, clerks, and secretaries are invited to attend this session.

Adult Session - Saturday, January 18th, 7:00-9:00 pm

• All members 18+ are invited to attend this session.

Youth Session - Sunday, January 19th, 8:30-9:30 am

• All youth in quorums and classes 12-18 are invited to attend this session. Youth leaders may also attend if they wish to do so.

General Session - Sunday, January 19th, 10:00 am-12:00 pm

• All stake members invited to attend this session. It will also be broadcast to the Mahogany building.

Stake Self-Reliance Groups Kickoff

New Year new you? Help is on the way! Come join us for our Stake Self-Reliance groups that will begin January 19th at 6:00 PM at the Mahogany Building Cultural Hall. All are welcome. The groups that will be focused on are:

• Personal Finance
• Starting and Growing My Business
• Preparing for Retirement

"The Priesthood Power of Women." Featuring keynote speaker Barbara Morgan Gardner, Associate Professor of Church History & Doctrine at Brigham Young University. All men and youth 14+ are also invited to attend.

Ward Conference

Stake members will be attending our Ward Conference held Sunday, February 9, 2020. Please prepare yourself spiritually by attending the temple this week to help get answers to your prayers.

Face to Face event

Youth are invited to participate with President Dallin H. Oaks and his wife, Sister Kristen Oaks, which will be a follow-up on the new Children and Youth program.

Primary Teachers Drive By

Our Ward Primary Presidency has invited families with primary aged children to wave to their primary teachers and leaders from their own yards beginning at 11:00 AM Sunday morning.

Youth Fireside With Elder Warner

Manila Stake youth will be joining us for a Youth Fireside with Elder Warner on March 22, 2020 at 7:00 PM Alpine Tabernacle. All youth 11 turning 12 and older and their parents are invited to attend.
