Facilities Management (FM) Group

Standardize building cleaning assignments for those who have three wards in one building. The following need to be followed:

1. The cleaning responsibilities need to be shared by all three wards because of the need for additional/deeper cleaning.
2. As a constant reminder of our responsibilities to care for our buildings we want all three wards in a building involved in some way with taking care of the building.
3. The Aaronic Priesthood and Young Women groups are to have an increased role in the care of the building.
4. For consistency and accountability, cleaning assignments will be made for the year and linked to the Sunday meeting times of each ward.

The following are the assignments/responsibilities for the building care and maintenance based on the meeting schedule for each year.

9:00 a.m. Ward:

• Saturday cleaning of building - including some items above and beyond what may have been done in the past - this assignment can be made to families or groups of Aaronic Priesthood /Young Women as appropriate.
• Early Sunday to setup chairs in the building.

10:30 a.m. Ward:

• Snow removal in the winter - most likely assigned to Elders Quorum and assisted by Aaronic Priesthood.
• Weeding, trash pickup, sweeping sidewalks, pruning bushes, outside window washing and general outdoor care for the church grounds during appropriate seasons - most likely assigned to Young Men and Young Women groups.
• Building security (nightly lockup).
• Deep cleaning of kitchen (Quarterly).
• Other projects like annual cleaning of chairs, etc. assigned to Aaronic Priesthood and Young Women groups.
• Repair projects as needed when not handled by FM Group mechanics.
