Typography has become a direct interest of mine after learning about the in-depth aspects of it. Through many creative processes, I used Illustrator and created my own usable font - Inovia. Originally intended to emulate the way a ribbon moves and bends, I have designed a tall, semi-serif font that is both fun and classy! I have printed, cut, and photographed my typography book to show and display one of my favorite creations.

I have printed, cut, and photographed my typography book to show and display one of my favorite creations.
Above are my original sketches and designs, in their more ribbon-like stage. My original sketch was more bi-color dependent and we were required to create fonts that were usable in black-only. I was unhappy with the pending outcome of these designs during this process and adopted a straighter approach, abandoning the ribbon tails and excessive folds. I kept some angled flare and ultimately landed on the typeface you see below, Inovia in its final form.
