Trials of Etelir was my first project which I felt proud to have made. Being made in the Roblox Studio engine allowed me to quickly make changes and have people play and test changes. This game was scripted using the specialised rbx lua script.
Trials of Etelir is a single player, turn-based roguelike. Players are set on a randomised linear path where they will encounter enemies and other events. There is no end goal, simply keep fighting until you no longer can.
Due to this project not being updated in multiple years, and the nature of Roblox as a platform, Trials of Etelir is not guaranteed to work as it once did.
Trials of Etelir was my first time deciding to devote myself to a single project, and it proved to be something I am still proud of for creating it from mostly self-taught skills. Developing this project would make me come to realise that I am far from a good game designer, and is why I decided to focus more on improving my programming skills.
