It was cold here. – Byla tu zima.
I was not at school. - Nebyl jsem ve škole. I wasn't at school.
She was not at home. (Ona) Nebyla doma. She wasn't at home.
He was not in Australia. – (On) Nebyl v Austrálii. He wasn't in Australia.
It was not cold there. – Nebyla tam zima. It wasn't cold there.
We were not at work. - Nebyli jsme v práci. You weren't at work.
You were not luck - Neměl jsi štěstí - ale i: Neměli jste štěstí nebo Neměl jste štěstí.
They were not in Germany. - Nebyli v Německu.
