Mission Statement

1. Create a large scale interactive and educational experience in the expanded outdoor section of the aquarium.

2. We decided on a fountain show that uses laminar flow and fiber optics to show oceanography data on a large scale, interactive play area.

Target Audience

Visitors of the Aquarium

Challenges

1. Communicating with the aquarium staff to clarify what large scale projects are and are not possible (i.e. water source, available space, operational hours effecting light visibility).

2. Researching equipment that could theoretically make these work.

Team Dynamic

The team was divided into two cliques, and it felt like no one was invested in the project. We had some brilliant minds, but we all knew this project was never going to be made into anything tangible in the short time we worked on it.
