Cub Scout Membership Fees
The $85 annual membership fee covers Scouting year-round. New Cub Scouts can join at any time of the year. Membership covers national program resources, liability insurance for those participating in approved Scouting activities, youth protection training, and leader background checks.
The annual membership fee pays for insurance and national programming.

Other Costs
Pack 359 typically holds at least one Pack activity per month. While most of these events are free, there may be expenses associated with camping, sporting events, parties, field trips, and district and council events. These expenses may range between $5-15 per person and are only paid by those participating.
Financial Aid and Scholarships
No family will be turned away due to financial hardships. Greater Area St. Louis Council has Scoutreach Scholarships available to Scouts in need. Please sign up at the Scoutreach Scholarship link instead of the BeAScout.org link if using financial assistance.
Earning Their Way
Pack 359 holds one fundraiser fundraiser sells popcorn each fall to pay for patches, awards, den meeting activities and materials, most outings, enhanced background checks for leaders. Popcorn sells take place in September. Scouts can sell to family and friends, online, or participate in store fronts. Scouts can earn their way all while learning how to set and reach goals, learn communication skills, and how to accept rejection gracefully. A successful fundraiser may also cover a Pack activity such as model rockets and campouts.
Pinewood Derby Concessions - Concessions are sold during our annual Pinewood Derby to cover the costs of derby cars, trophies, software, and general expenses associated with the derby.
