Exhaust Flappers: an Unexpected Advantage

Since I distinctly abhor water getting into an exhaust system, which can ruin one’s day (along with an engine), I installed a set of homemade flapper valves. The result was a pleasant surprise, for they do a swell job of quieting that roaring exhaust. You can simply buy them--look for the 4 inch size. Being a cheapskate I made my own.
