GENERAL COLLECTION (Fiction and Non-Fiction)
How to borrow General Collection Books:
Using the call number, the teacher-librarian finds a certain book. Each book comes with three cards. The subject card is arranged according to the subject covered in the book, while the author card is arranged alphabetically by the book's title.
To check if the book is available, use a card catalog or computerized card catalog within a library.
Obtain a sheet of paper, make a copy of the call number (located in the upper left-hand corner of the card), and the author and book title.
Go to the specific area of the library using the call number as a guide, then find the shelf where the book is kept. Inquire if the book is out on loan by providing the call number to the teacher-librarian at the circulation desk if it is not on the shelf.
Enter details of the book card included on the book's back cover.
When presenting the book to the circulation desk, include the signed book card for appropriate charging.
All borrowed books are subject to recall at any moment with prior notice.
CIRCULATION
The student registers the book card and hands it to the teacher-librarian after filling it out for home use. Fiction, non-fiction and other general collection of books are kept and found on this section.

RESERVED BOOKS
These are the books that the faculty have recommended or required as pre-reading for the classes they are giving. These books are limited to
can be borrowed inside the library's premises in a short period of time.

REFERENCE BOOKS
A few examples of these are dictionaries, yearbooks, encyclopedias, manuals, geographic information systems, manuals, directories, and bibliographical sources which can be used only inside the library's premises.
CARD CATALOG
AUTHOR CARD - consist of the author's last name, the title of the book, place, and date of publishing, publisher's name, and call number of the book as well as the book edition can also be found on this card information.
TITLE CARD - comprises essentially the same information as that contained in the author card. This makes it simple for a reader to find a book even if they are unsure of the author's name.
SUBJECT CARD - arranges all of the library's resources according to the title's primary topics.
