Unit Overview
This two-week instructional unit will use a combination of lectures, modeling, discussion forums, and peer review in order to teach students how to develop and improve argumentative thesis statements.
Students will be introduced to argumentative thesis statements
Students will practice writing and evaluating argumentative thesis statements.
Students will identify strong thesis statements and revise Week 2 thesis statements.
Students will develop their own thesis statements on the outline for their argumentative essays.
