MB History

  • Long-time, well-established speedrunner. The first undisputed GOAT, during the GarageGames era.

  • Undisputed king of multiplayer gem hunt in the days of Marble Blast Online. Stopped playing multiplayer seriously around 2015-2016.

  • Has by far the biggest and most popular MB-based YouTube channel, with over 1000 videos and 20000 subscribers.

  • His video A Day at the Links - No Jumping (33:47.40s) is one of the most viewed marble blast videos, with over 5 million views as of September 1st 2020.

  • Project leader for Marble Blast Platinum and (formerly) PlatinumQuest. Responsible for many of the Awesome Times.

  • Accomplished level creator for Marble Blast Platinum and PlatinumQuest. Also the winner of the first ever Level of the Year competition for his 2006 level Gyrocopter Monster Course.

  • Added to the Marble It Up! team as a level designer for Marble It Up! and Marble It Up: Mayhem!

Community History

  • Former head of the community, from the initial migration to proboards in 2006 until his resignation in 2016.

  • Left the community in 2021.

Relevant Memes

  • Created a series of videos called “Replay of the Day”, where he would provide humorous narration to Marble Blast runs (usually his own) in the style of a fast-talking sports commentator. Various efforts have been made by other community members to emulate these iconic videos, but none have taken off.

  • Resident Jew.

  • Also known for “Matan’s Talk Corner”, including the tongue-in-cheek video “Is Marble Blast Platinum EASY or HARD?”, which became a meme years later.

  • Because his YouTube channel is the most popular, newbies to Marble Blast still worship him and think he’s the undisputed GOAT. Usually these are the same people who don’t realize that the majority of the videos on his channel are from Xelna.

  • His name is frequently mispronounced “maytin”.

  • After banning Kurt, noby and hPerks in 2016 (see May 2016 Ban), became the primary antagonist in the Kurt/hPerks for Staff 2016 narrative.

  • Has a longtime pet cockatiel, Tsuf, who passed away in September 2021.
