LD-REMEDIAL TEACHER'S TRAINING DIPLOMA COURSE

WHAT IS LEARNING DISABILITY?
 A learning disability is not a problem most of those affected are just as smart as everyone else. Their brains are simply wired differently. This can lead to trouble with learning new information and skills, and putting them to use. The most common types of learning disabilities involve problems with reading, writing, math, reasoning, listening, and speaking.

Who can join this course?

·         Any teaching aspirant planning to become a trained remedial educator/teacher in a good education institute.

·         For budding entrepreneurs who are looking to start their own LD remedial clinic.

·         Parents or care givers who have children exhibiting various behavioural signs at home, can hugely benefit    from the course.

Mode of Training:

1.  Online (Lecture via Zoom, Jio meet or Google meet (once- a- week)

2.  Regular class presence (Off line- lectures in the class form)

3.  Blended course (Notes via email, Classroom attendance periodically)

Course Contents:

Theory Lectures:
1.  Informal testing to ascertain the type of learning disability. Informal assessment procedures

2. Introduction to the types of learning disabilities-symptoms and causes

3. To differentiate the kinds of learning disabilities-dyslexia, dysgraphia, dyscalculia
4. Strategies to plan educational program for each case (IEP)
5. Behaviour management of LD children.
6. Developing innovative methods of teaching- planning curriculum, designing worksheets and assignments.

Practical work and internship
1. Each candidate is required to work with two children diagnosed to have LD condition under the guidance and supervision of the training faculty.
2. The case file presenting sessions conducted for this practical experience is to be submitted in the prescribed manner for final evaluation.

After the Course Work Opportunities:
MANTHAN provides facility to its qualified students to work at its clinic with LD children.
1. Students are eligible to work in Schools, NGOs, Remedial Clinics or other organizations as special educators.
2. Enterprising students are offered necessary guidance, assistance & encouragement to set up their own clinic.
3. Parents may use the training and skills to help their children.

Total 8 months - 6 months theory lessons, 2 months for practical training with two cases of LD children

Teaching Online 

The foundation of what we do and the principles of teaching are basically the same in class room and online.

Outside education field, you can work in-

Child care centres, NGOs running social service centres, Orphanages as an education assistant in socio-cultural organizations,
As an administrator in a responsible role in day care centres.

Teaching privately, giving tuitions and coaching Entrepreneurship of educational programs.

Course Eligibility:

H. Sc: 12th Standard, or equivalent 10 + 2 in any stream. There is no age bar.
