K.G. TEACHER’S TRAINING DIPLOMA COURSE

PROSPECTUS

About the Course:

This is an applied course preparing the student to

ü Teach in any pre-primary school

ü Start his/her own nursery school

ü Conduct tuitions or coaching classes

Course Eligibility: SSC or equivalent

There is no age bar for enrolling in the course.

Duration of the Course:

The full course duration is of about 6 months + 2 months of internship

Timings:

§  Classroom training- 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. (Wednesday & Saturday)

Note: Students unable to attend both days will be given special extra time on every Saturdays.

§  Internship- 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Twice a week (Monday & Friday OR Tuesday & Thursday)

Course Contents:

A.  THEORY LECTURES

Interactive lectures in Early Childhood Development & Child Psychology

B.  CLASSWORK & PRESENTATION

1. JOURNAL WORK - Covers entire syllabus of pre-primary education

-   Preparing lesson plans to teach nursery rhymes, stories, compositions, number work, alphabets and G.K. subjects like fruits, vegetables, animals, transport, etc.

2. ART & CRAFT WORKSHOP FOR PRE-PRIMARY CHILDREN

-   Preparing Art & Craft portfolio.

3. DEVELOPING PRE-WRITING SKILLS THROUGH INTERESTING PATTERNS & PRACTICE

4. SPECIAL EXTRA SUBJECTS

- Organizing parent’s meetings, field trips, assemblies, sports activities, etc.

5. PROJECT WORK

- Preparing a chart on the given subject as directed.

C.  INTERNSHIP

Students are offered an excellent opportunity to go through practical training at MANTHAN’S pre-primary nursery school- ‘RAINBOW GLOBAL SCHOOL’ which is attached to the institute in the same premises.

Payable in 3 installments

1st installment (at registration): Rs. 8,500/-  

2nd installment (within 4 weeks): Rs. 7,000/-

Application:

You can work as a Montessori and pre-primary teacher in any school or the Nursery section of any high school or a primary school following SSC/ ICSE syllabus.
