Membership Duties

General Duties of All Mandan High FCCLA Members:

All FCCLA members, regardless of membership tier, are affiliated members and therefore are expected to:

• Uphold the ND FCCLA Code of Conduct at all local, district, state, and national activities 

• Submit all required Code of Conduct, Medical Release, and permission forms before participating in any FCCLA activity 

• Follow all school rules, NDHSAA guidelines, and local, state, and federal laws 

• Represent Mandan High FCCLA with respect, professionalism, and integrity

• Maintain appropriate language, behavior, and appearance at all FCCLA events 

• Respect all people, facilities, hotels, and property 

• Be on time and properly prepared for all meetings, activities, and events

• Follow all supervision, travel, curfew, and safety expectations set by advisers and ND FCCLA 

• Refrain from prohibited behaviors, including possession or use of alcohol, tobacco, vaping devices, illegal substances, weapons, or gambling 

• Understand that violations of the Code of Conduct may result in disciplinary action or removal from events

Local Member Duties:

Local Members support chapter activities at Mandan High School.

• Participate in local FCCLA meetings and activities

• Contribute positively to chapter projects, service learning, and fundraising

• Assist with chapter planning and provide input/feedback on events

• Maintain good standing with school and chapter expectations

• Serve as positive representatives of FCCLA within the school community

District Member Duties:

District Members represent Mandan High FCCLA at the district level in addition to local member duties.

• Fulfill all Local Member duties

• Attend the District Leadership Meeting in Bismarck, ND

• Wear and maintain official FCCLA identification and district apparel when required

• Demonstrate leadership, professionalism, and responsibility during district events

• Optional participation in State Leadership Conference volunteering and leadership development opportunities

• Follow all district-level schedules, expectations, and conduct guidelines

Competitive Member Duties:

Competitive Members actively represent Mandan High FCCLA in FCCLA STAR Events or competitive programming.

• Fulfill all Local & District Member duties

• Commit to preparing, practicing, and competing in assigned FCCLA competitive events

• Meet all deadlines, event requirements, and preparation expectations

• Conduct themselves professionally during competition, workshops, and general sessions

• Represent Mandan High FCCLA with integrity, sportsmanship, and respect

• Understand that participation may lead to advancement to State and National FCCLA events
