*Competed with Mandan High FCCLA through Mandan Middle FCCLA
FCCLA offers an array of opportunities to receive recognition from the local to the national level. The following list denotes award recipients in both competitive events and chapter/member/adviser recognition. In the 2024-2025 school year, Mandan High FCCLA adopted several local awards to celebrate members and promote involvement:
Chapter Motto Award: A member who lives out the official chapter motto “Transforming futures, one leader at a time.”
Community Impact Recognition: A member who has made significant effort to connect Mandan High FCCLA to the community of Mandan.
Courageous Competitor: A member who has overcome significant obstacles to deliver a competitive project.
Guiding Voice: A member who has served as a guiding voice for other chapter members over the year.
Member of the Year: Members nominate fellow members who have shown a commitment to FCCLA’s mission and values all year long
Officer of the Year: Advisers select an officer who has shown a commitment to FCCLA’s mission and values all year long.
Spirit of Char Award: Someone who embodies a happy and joyful spirit, encouraging all those around them. This award was adopted in honor of Char Frost- a committed FCCLA parent who passed away in 2025.
Top Novice: A first-year member who has demonstrated significant contributions to the chapter.
Members begin STAR Event competition at the district level and are eligible to receive a bronze, silver, or gold ranking, which can include a qualification to move to the next round of competition. Beyond competitive events, District 4 North Dakota FCCLA recognizes a "Rock Star Chapter" in the form of a spirit award to the chapter who demonstrates the most spirit through a pumpkin decorating conference at the Fall Leadership Meeting.
Following the model of National FCCLA, North Dakota FCCLA continues the many recognition opportunities of FCCLA through STAR Events Awards and Chapter & Adviser recognition. Chapter Recognition focuses on member increases. Senior members have the opportunity to be recognized for years of FCCLA service through the Senior Honor Award. Members across the state nominate advisers for the Outstanding Adviser award.
National FCCLA has both qualifying and non-qualifying competitive events opportunities including Challenge Tests and Skill Demonstration Events. Both competitions recognize the top 3 participants on the National Stage. National FCCLA also conducts a "Go for the Red" program to acknowledge chapters and individuals that recruit new FCCLA members.
